Outreach Ministry to Cowell, Arkansas

Years ago the C&MA had a missions ministry to the mountains of Arkansas.  There were nearly 20 small churches in small communities scattered in the area.  Due to the size of those churches one by one they closed.  One of those was in Cowell, Ar.  The last worker there, Mrs. Margret Sinclair retired in 2000.

This year even our International Workers were able to meet with and challenge the children to serve the Lord.  This ministry is a new effort to places where the C&MA is well known and God has raised up workers in years past.Praise the Lord for His faithfulness and the willingness of a church and workers to extend the Kingdom of God.  Last year the Russellville C&MA Church and Beth MacPeek began an effort to work with the children of the Cowell area, meeting in the church building thatis still there.

New Pastor for Atascosa Christian Fellowship

Pastor Rob Jeffrey and his wife Joy and Kaitlin have arrived in Pleasanton, TX to begin ministry in this area.  He is a graduate of Toccoa Falls College in Georgia.  This past Sunday, July 25th he was installed in this re-development effort.  Please pray for them as they adjust to their new ministry and home.  They have a lot of work to do.

Missions Conferences for Spring 2011 are Being Scheduled

Dr. Reatha Searing (District Missions Mobilizer) has finished setting up up our Fall schedule for our International Worker Conferences (this year’s theme:  Push Back The Darkness).  In the Fall (September through December) one of our CA Families will be living in our District.  The Spring schedule is now being worked on.  During the Spring the Baldwins (another of our District Missionaries) will be available.  What a wonderful opportunity to get to know these families and the ministry they are carrying out for us in far away places.  We can team up with them to push back the darkness.
