Here is a short list of some of the things your church can be in prayer for:

   The District:

• Pray the words of Christ over our District churches: "...that they may be brought to complete unity. Then the world will know that you sent me and have loved them even as you have loved me" (John 17:23).
• Pray for the many who are sick or who have recently lost loved ones in our District.
• Pray for the Parkway Church.  This church has contributed greatly to church planting in Houston and has seen several key leaders become ill with serious diseases that could discourage them as they try to do God's will in that city.
• Pray for Summer Hartzler's departure to Berlin where she will begin language study this month (August 2011).
• Pray for several churches going through pastoral transitions: Baytown, Tx; Pearland Filipino.
• Keep our church plants and developing churches in prayer as they struggle to preach the word of God boldly and overcome many financial and spiritual obstacles:

• Pray that our nation's leader, President Obama, would turn to the Lord and recieve God's wisdom in the many decisions he makes.
• Pray for the many brother's and sisters in Christ in our nation striving to share the love of God to those around them.
• Pray for the Christian and Missionary Alliance's efforts in the states as we strive to overcome numerous spiritual, financial and health related obstacles.  Pray for unity and perseverence, and pray for Dr. Gary M. Benedict, the President of the Alliance, as he oversees the many decisions being made in the denomination.
• Pray for all those who have been affected by tornados this year, particularly the people in Joplin, MO.

• Lift up in prayer not only our District missionaries, but missionaries serving faithfully around the world to bring the gospel message to those who have not heard.
• The continuous uprisings in the Middle East. Pray for peace and for God's will to be accomplished in this area of the world.
